The South African Marine Rehabilitation and Education Centre (SAMREC) is a non-profit organisation that was formed in 2000 to care for sick and injured African penguins. SAMREC has since spread their wings and is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating a wide variety of our marine life as well as informing and educating the public through various tours and guided hikes.
