Throughout life we come across Angels disguised as humans who take it upon themselves to nurture, care and protect. In this case these Angels realised the need to assist with the welfare of dogs in Port Elizabeth. Mavis Smit founder of Save-a-Pet is one of these Angels. Along with several other volunteers who have come to the rescue to help animals in need. Save-a-Pet has been operating for over 30 years. They currently shelter 186 dogs at their premises in Greenbushes. Every adult dog has been neutered and all puppies are neutered at 6 months, in doing so they reduce the amount of stray dogs that could be roaming the streets. How you can help: 1.
