Bob Marley tribute concert in PE

Music lovers from all walks of life in the Metro are invited to join together and celebrate the spirit of multiculturalism and reconciliation at a four-band concert in an Africa Month celebration what Bob Marley stood for. Organised by “One Blood Sound”, the concert will be held in The Boardwalk’s Vodacom Amphitheatre on Saturday, May 25. Starting at 6pm, the concert will feature “Take Note”, “The Brothers”, “Ever High Dread (EHD)”, and “Skank & The Roots”. “Take Note” is a six piece Jazz band formed by young musicians who wanted to revisit the recognisable trademark of Eastern Cape “township Jazz” while appealing to a youthful audience. “The Brothers” hail from Port Elizabeth where they

Funny comedians Martin Davis, Kedibone Mulaudzi and Robby Collins will be on stage together at The Boardwalk, Vodacom Amphitheatre on the 26th of April 2013. Martin Davis, no stranger to The Boardwalk is back with his highly interactive style. Davis performs in the UK regularly and South Africa. Kedibone Mulaudzi is one of the countries rising stand-up comedy stars. He says he is “known for speaking his mind, and saying the things which come to his mind, things which most people are usually too afraid to say”. Robby Collins is described by some as having a “gawky giraffe frame”. He draws on real life experiences and relates to his audience with ease while keeping them on the edge of their seats. This show has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Crazy Diamond a tribute to Pink Floyd is coming to Port Elizabeth on the 19th of May 2012.
