Many of us have been on a wine tour – or have at least heard of one. Fact is, how many of us have ever heard of, let alone been on, a Brandy Route Tour? However, thanks to the über cool people at the South African Brandy Foundation, this reality seems set to change – big time. First off though – some interesting facts: Did you know that South Africa has two distinct Brandy Routes? One being up along Route 62, and the other (comprising over 14 producers), called the “Western Cape Route”, primarily covering the areas around Wellington, Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek; Despite widespread public perception, South Africa can be extremely proud of the fact that our Brandy’s are ranked as being of the finest
