The Baakens Valley Community Partenship (BVCP) is hosting a Freedom Day Picnic in the Park at Settlers Park (entrance off How street) on Saturday the 27th April 2013 from 1 till 4pm. Relax and enjoy the Freedom Day afternoon with music, singing, poetry and nature walks! Bring your own picnic refreshments, chairs and blankets. Entrance is free so get out there for the afternoon with your whole family and soak in all the Baakens Valley has to offer. The Baakens Valley runs through the heart of Port Elizabeth and is one of the city’s treasured gems. The BVCP form part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, WESSA and other environmental groups, their objective is to grow the Baakens Valley as a safe community resource and

Summer holidays are almost upon us, the evenings are alive with Christmas beetles buzzing, children playing, and all those delicious neighbourhood braai aromas. One of the greatest seasonal events to really get you in the Christmas spirit is Carols by Candlelight - an evening of bliss with your loved ones, beautiful candles flickering against the night sky and sweet Nativity sounds drifting around your ears. The Baakens Valley Community Partenship (BVCP) is hosting their 4th annual Carols by Candlelight in Settlers Park on Saturday the 1st of December 2012 from 6 till 9pm. Onder die regie van Riaan Hanekom en Marelize Booyens, sing, vertel én dans Wat die hart van vol is 2 oud en jonk na ‘n tyd en plek waar die liefde lê. Of mense nou pasgetroud is, besig is om saam oud te word, of bloot die opwinding van ‘n nuwe liefde vir iemand koester, dié kabaret is vir jóú geskryf. Hanekom, wat ook verantwoordelik was vir die eerste Wat die Hart van vol is, het gesê wanneer dit by die liefde kom kan mens nooit uitgepraat raak nie.

Cancelled – Pink Floyd Tribute Concert

Crazy Diamond Concert Port Elizabeth

This show has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Crazy Diamond a tribute to Pink Floyd is coming to Port Elizabeth on the 19th of May 2012. The electrifying multi-dimensional show has been staged more than forty times since 2008. “Audiences were mesmerized during the show by the authenticity as well as the magic of the evergreen music of one of the greatest rock bands in history.” The success of the show continues to take the country by storm. Musician Mel Botes and the producer of the show admits that the music of Pink Floyd had a big influence on his music career. He previously thought that he could not do justice to the authenticity of the music, but since he took to the stage with Crazy Diamond - A
