
Skateboarding enthusiasts and adrenaline junkies are going to ripping up the tarmac with the inaugural Donkin Downhill Dash this Sunday, 24 June as they race down the historical Donkin Voting Queue Path. This downhill long board skating extreme event is the first of its kind to hit Port Elizabeth.
The Aim of the game: To create awareness for non motorised transport in the inner city – and develop the sport in Nelson Mandela Bay. 40 contestants will compete against one another in a time trial event that will see skaters trying to better each other's time. The speediest Skaters stand the chance of winning t-shirts, Sector 9 Skateboards and many other prizes.
You don’t want to miss out on this one! Please show your support and head down with the family to The Donkin Reserve in Central from 10am – 4pm – pack a picnic for the day. There will be a host of street performances; poets, hip hop artist, break-dancers and musicians to keep you entertained. Enjoy a day surrounded by sportsmen and the eclectic offerings of the Donkin Reserve.
