This Friday marks the kick off of the 29th annual Knysna Oyster Festival, a jam packed line up with 10 days of non stop entertainment!
How does the small town of Knysna manage to keep you entertained for 10 days? With over 100 exciting events ranging from cycling, running and adventure races to wine and whisky tastings and gala evenings plus heaps of activities for kiddies too! The Festival is definately aimed at individuals who live life to the full! Check out the full programme.
The Oysters? Knysna is reputable for some of the most divine and delicious fresh and cultivated Oysters the country has to offer. Oyster hotspots in the dozens will be selling oysters in a variety of forms, tastes and flavours. With all those oysters (as they say – magies vol ogies toe) you’ll need to get a room – here is a list of accommodation options available.
Other traditional favourites of the festival include the Pick n Pay Oyster & Wine Mardi Gras, the Oyster Eating Competition, the Waitron Race and the Bowls Tournament.
