The Eastern Cape is a packed with lekker little dorpies, every one offering something very unique and all adamant to increase their tourism footprint. Synonymous with hunting, livestock and wildlife in this part of the country means Biltong, at that… LOTS of it! So why not have a festival – dedicated to, well… Biltong? The sinuously smart Somerset East folk have mastered the art of hosting the East Cape Biltong Festival as this year they head into their 22nd year!
As with most good things, they just get bigger and better. This weekend 13 and 14 July, you can look forward to live music performances by Elvis Blue, Jamali, Emo Adams, Robbie Wessels, Steve Hofmeyr and many more. Live stage performing arts, dance and drama. For the shop-a-holicks over 200 stalls selling all sorts of wonderful goodies, a fun fair for the kiddies and heaps of games and competitions to keep everyone entertained. Not to forget buckets of Biltong! Click here for the full festival programme
