373 is sadly the figure representing the amount of rhinos poached in South Africa in 2012 alone! A disgusting stat – one that we are sure brings a deep sadness and disturbance to each and every one of us. All of us ask what can we do? How can we help? Simply put on your trainers and join the Rhino Run – a country wide trail running event being staged to raise funds and awareness for the war on rhino poaching.
The Rhino Run consists of 5 individual trail running events located around South Africa in all major provinces, run by hundreds of people with the same voice on the 22 September 2012 in conjunction with World Rhino Day. Crossways Farm Village is the host to the Port Elizabeth leg, check out all the details on the South African Rhino Runs on this page.
While the actual event will be staged in South Africa, the Rhino Run is also a global conscious movement in which trail runners from around the world are invited to gather together at their favourite trails and run for this awesome cause.
