The Addo Rose & Garden Show is a real hit on the Eastern Cape calendar attracting rose lovers and garden enthusiasts to the Sunday’s River Valley, taking place on 13th and 14th of October 2012 and this year the festival promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The Valentine Hall in Addo is once again hosting this years show, with Algoa FM on board a Gardening for Charity Challenge Initiative is a first for the show where Eastern Cape plant growers and Algoa Fm DJ’s will team up to compete and create gardens that will meet the needs of physically disabled individuals and those with special needs. Highlighting the issues faced by physically challenged people, and demonstrating that everyone can garden and that easy and effective changes can be made to garden designs to enable people with special needs to also participate and enjoy the experience of gardening.
The well renowned Rose Hall Exhibition is a must see for any garden lover, and the interactive Speaker’s Corner will also shed light on topics around gardening and landscaping. Other festival highlights include the Flower and Plant Stalls, Crafts, Food Stalls, Kid’s activities and live sport on BIG Screens.
